Thursday
3 July
After breakfast we set
off to climb a nearby 400 metre peak, through heather and bracken,
dotted with heath-spotted orchids, yellow bog asphodel and the insectivorous
sundew. Overhead a sparrowhawk circled. From the hilltop the view
over Jura was magnificent and, sillhouetted on a neighbouring ridge,
we caught sight of one of Jura's 6000 red deer (30 for every one
Jura inhabitant!). On the way down, we had a refreshing swim (at
least Rob and Philip did) in one of the many little lakes.
Imram onboard
mail.
